Returns & Refunds Policy

OVERVIEW

At Tay Aror, we want you to love your purchase. If you’re not completely satisfied, we accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

What you can get:

  • Full refund (bank transfer or mobile wallet)
  • Exchange for different size/style

Not available: Store credit (Tay Aror does not offer wallet credit at this time)

RETURN ELIGIBILITY & TIMEFRAMES

Ready-to-Wear (RTW) & Clothing – FULL PRICE ITEMS

Eligible for full refund or exchange

Conditions:

  • Must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
  • Original tags and packaging intact
  • Returned within 14 days of delivery
  • All hygiene stickers attached (where applicable)

Refund method: Original payment method (bank transfer, mobile wallet, or card reversal)

Swimwear, Bikinis, One-Pieces & Resort Wear

Conditions:

  • Must be unworn with hygiene stickers fully intact
  • Original tags attached
  • Returned within 14 days of delivery
  • Exchange subject to availability

What you can get:

  • Exchange for different size or style
  • If exchange unavailable: Bank transfer/mobile wallet refund

What you CANNOT get:

  • Cash refund if hygiene stickers are intact and item can be exchanged

FINAL SALE ITEMS (No Returns or Exchanges)

The following are completely non-returnable:

Product Categories:

  • Bridal items (wedding dresses, bridal accessories)
  • Bags and handbags
  • Footwear (shoes, sandals, slippers)
  • Accessories (jewelry, belts, scarves, hats, hair accessories)
  • Underwear and intimate apparel

Sale & Promotional Items:

  • All items marked “SALE” or discounted
  • End of Season sale items
  • Black Friday purchases
  • Clearance items (50% off or more)
  • Items marked “FINAL SALE” on product page

Exception: We will accept returns on final sale items ONLY if:

  • Wrong size or style was sent by us
  • Item arrived damaged or defective

SALE ITEMS RETURN POLICY

All sale and discounted items are FINAL SALE – no returns, no exchanges, except:

We sent the wrong item (wrong size, color, or style)
Item arrived damaged or defective

In these cases only:

  • We provide free return shipping
  • Full refund via bank transfer/mobile wallet
  • Or exchange if preferred

GIFT CARDS

  • Non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Valid for one year from purchase date
  • Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced or refunded
  • Can only be used on Tay Aror website/stores

REFUND PROCESSING TIMES

Once we receive and inspect your return:

Note: Timeline begins AFTER we receive and approve your return (allow 5-10 days for shipping to our warehouse, plus 2-3 days for inspection).

EXCHANGES

How it works:

  1. You pay to ship the item back to us
  2. We inspect the return (2-3 business days)
  3. We ship your exchange item at our cost
  4. If exchange item is unavailable, we process a full refund

Total exchange time: 10-14 business days (depending on location and item availability)

RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

You pay for return shipping except when:

  • We sent the wrong item
  • Item arrived damaged or defective
  • Item has manufacturing defects

In these cases, we will:

  • Arrange courier pickup, OR
  • Reimburse your shipping costs, OR
  • Provide a prepaid waybill

Original delivery charges are only refundable if goods are faulty.

HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM

Step 2: Provide Details

  • Order number
  • Item(s) you want to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (if damaged/wrong item)

Step 3: Get Return Authorization We’ll send you:

  • Return confirmation
  • Warehouse address in Lagos
  • Return instructions

Step 4: Pack & Ship

  • Pack item securely with all tags
  • Use any courier service (GIGL, GIG Logistics, DHL, Fedex, etc.)
  • Keep your tracking number

Step 5: Send Tracking Info

  • Email or WhatsApp us the tracking number
  • We’ll notify you when received

Step 6: Inspection & Processing

  • We inspect within 2-3 business days
  • You’ll receive confirmation email
  • Refund/exchange processed

ORDER CANCELLATION

Orders can only be cancelled before dispatch.

Once your order is with our courier partner, you cannot cancel. You may return the item using our standard return process after delivery.

PRICE ADJUSTMENTS

If a full-price item you purchased goes on sale within 48 hours of your order:

You’re eligible for a price adjustment!

Requirements:

  • Item was purchased at original price (not already on sale)
  • Sale begins within 48 hours of your order date
  • Request must be made within 7 days of sale start
  • Item has not been returned

DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS

Report immediately (within 48 hours of delivery)

What to do:

  1. Don’t use or remove tags
  2. Take clear photos of:
    • The damage/defect
    • Product tags
    • Packaging (if relevant)
  3. Contact us with photos and order number

What we’ll do:

  • Arrange free return pickup or send prepaid waybill
  • Process full refund including shipping costs (3-5 business days)
  • Or send replacement with priority shipping

PURCHASES FROM RETAILERS/STOCKISTS

Did you buy from an authorized Tay Aror retailer or physical store?

Returns and refunds are subject to that store’s policy, not ours.

  • Contact the store where you made the purchase
  • Each retailer has their own return timeframe and conditions
  • Refunds will follow the store’s policy

For online purchases from retailers: Check the retailer’s online return policy

IMPORTANT NOTES & EXCEPTIONS

We cannot accept returns if:

  • āŒ Item has been worn, washed, or altered
  • āŒ Tags have been removed or damaged
  • āŒ Hygiene stickers are broken (for swimwear/intimates)
  • āŒ Return initiated after 14 days
  • āŒ Item is a final sale category

Items that don’t meet return conditions will be:

  • Refused and sent back to you
  • Return shipping cost borne by you

We are not responsible for:

  • Items lost during return shipping (use trackable courier)
  • Delays caused by courier services
  • Customs/duties on international orders

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS (Outside Nigeria)

Duties & Taxes:

  • Tay Aror ships DDU (Duties and Taxes Unpaid)
  • You are responsible for customs fees, duties, and taxes in your country
  • These fees vary by country and are not refundable
  • Refused deliveries due to customs fees are not eligible for shipping refunds

International Returns:

  • You pay for return shipping to Nigeria
  • Use trackable international courier
  • Allow 2-3 weeks for international returns to reach us
